...within you now and always is the unborn possibility of a limitless experience of
inner stability and outer treasure, and yours is the privilege of giving birth to it.
And you will, if you can believe.
Prosperity is one of God's greatest gifts to us. A loving Father/Mother God would
not want Its children to be in poverty, and it is an axiomatic universal law that
prosperity will occur when we do put spiritual practices into business!
Go within in a time of silence and get a renewed awareness of God as your
resource, and then go about your business affairs in the strong consciousness of
the omnipresence of substance.
On human levels of consciousness one may emphasize getting and having as the
prime goals, in spiritual consciousness he seeks the way of giving and being."
What Did Jesus Really Teach?
Excerpts from "Discover the Power Within You"
By Eric Butterworth
There are whole libraries of books written about Jesus, and about the great Christian movement that sprang up in his name. However, little space is given to the concepts He set forth and the techniques that He outlined.
The philosophy of Jesus is a workable philosophy, a way of life. Jesus taught of the depth potential of man and of his spiritual unity with God.
According to an old Hindu legend there was a time when all men were gods, but they so abused their divinity that Brahma, the chief god, decided to take it away from men and hide it where the would never again find it. Where to hide it became the big question.
When the lesser gods were called in council to consider this question, they said, "We will bury man's divinity deep in the earth." But Brahma said, "No, that will not do, for man will dig deep down into the earth and find it." Then they said, "Well we will sink his divinity into the deepest ocean." But again Brahma replied, "No, not there, for man will learn to dive in the deepest waters, will search out the
ocean bed, and will find it."
Then the lesser gods said, "We will take it to the top of the highest mountain and there hide it." But again Brahma replied, "No, for man will eventually climb every high mountain on earth. He will be sure some okay to find it and take it up again for himself." Then the lesser gods gave up and concluded, "We do not know where to hide it, for it seems there is no place on earth or in the sea that man will noteventually
reach."
Then Brahma said, Here is what we will do with man's divinity. We will hide it deep down in man himself, for he will never think to look for it there." Ever since then, the legend concludes, man has been going up and down the earth, climbing, digging, diving, exploring, searching for something that is already in himself.
Two thousand year ago a man named Jesus found it and shared it's secret; but in the movement that sprang up in His name, the Divinity in Man has been the best kept secret of the ages.
If you can find the consciousness of your spiritual unity with the Infinite and with your
fellow man, and if you can become established in the conviction of the Divinity of Man, you will become an intuitively guided and effective instrument for the social and political action within the framework of your interests, abilities and responsibilities.
Jesus came declaring, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32). It really doesn't matter what happens around you or to you. These things are in the world, and you can overcome the world. All that really matters is what happens in you-- your thoughts about conditions and people. And you can control your thoughts, for you are the master of your mind-- or can be.
There is a belief deeply rooted in the collective unconscious of the race that "you can't teach and old dog new tricks"--you can't change human nature. Reject this for the great lie that it is. When you catch Jesus' concept of the Divinity of Man, you can see that you not only can change human nature, but this is the whole object of the Christian teaching.
