With Permanent Weight Loss
At last count , 17,653,753,421 diets were tried during the past five years. (give or take 10 billion) Carbohydrate diet, grapefruit diet, protein diet, cabbage soup diet, on and on.
This is not another diet.
Your key to a successful diet will be application of some common sense ideas instead of blindly following diet instructions.
One fact is............ All diets work.
That doesn't mean you lose weight and keep it off. It means you will lose if you follow diet instructions. Most diets say to eat less of this or that and to exercise more.
We agree......Exercise more and eat less fat. Not eat less......Eat less fat. If you are overweight you have too much mass ! (a nice way to say stored fat) To lose weight you must burn up some mass.
So just exercise. Even if it is walking around the house a few times a day. More than you do now.That activates the laws of physics to reduce mass. this is called BURNING CALORIES.
Heard that before?
The common sense mentioned earlier.
If you kept reducing mass day after day you would end up all bones. You have to replace excess mass (fat) with properly balanced mass (muscle). When you burn those calories, replace them with fewer calories.
THE FORMULA
G of F X 9 / TC X 100 = Losing Weight.
There! And you thought dieting was difficult. Let's take it apart piece by piece.
G of F = Grams of Fat Multiplied by 9. Each gram of fat contains 9 calories.
TC = Total Calories
I pulled a box of granola bars off my shelf to test the formula. Calories per serving 200. Total fat 10 grams.
G of F (grams of fat) 10 times 9 (calories per gram of fat)= 90 fat calories divided by TC (total calories) 200 becomes 45 multiplied by 100 equals 45% of calories from fat. That is 90 calories of fat. That is three times the recommended amount of calories from fat.
I should have mentioned that the granola bars were not plain. They were chocolate chip, and then dipped in fudge .
Do everything in your power to do the following......
Keep the percentage of calories from fat 30% or below.
Increase your activity just a smidgen. Pounds will peel off.
After you find all the many low fat foods you enjoy, the -not a diet - will become easy. Low fat foods can include foods made with potatoes, carrots, rice, peas, beans, citrus and other fruits, tofu, leafy greens, seeds and even nuts.
That list includes a lot of goodies you can fill up with.
Diets are too hard. Losing weight is easy.
It just takes a little common sense.
Bottom line is don't shovel more in than you plan to burn.
